My Secret World

My Secret World is a film about Sarah by Lucy Dawkins, telling the story of the label from start to finish and including live footage, videos and interviews with many of the bands as well as ourselves.

It was shown for the first time at the Arnolfini in Bristol in May 2014 as part of the exhibition Between Hello & Goodbye: the Secret World of Sarah Records. The official UK premiere was at the Hackney Picturehouse in April 2015 and it’s also been shown in New York, Glasgow, Los Angeles, Margate, Bologna, Leeds, Rome, Brighton, Norwich, Belfast, Manchester, Cambridge and Vienna and at festivals in Spain, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Greece and Argentina.

A DVD version was released in November 2015 with over 85 minutes of extra content. You can order copies directly from Lucy HERE – it’s £14 plus p&p, and comes with a “making-of” booklet, a badge and a balloon. (Or keep your eye on people like Rough Trade, who may well have some in stock, though presumably without the badge and balloon – where on earth are they going to store balloons?) Alternatively, if you’re pretty sure you’d only ever want to watch it once, or want to watch it repeatedly over the space of a weekend until you’re sick of it, you can STREAM it – it costs £4 for 48 hours (without all the DVD extras, obviously).
